The Laboratory of Innovative Materials for Memristor (LIMM) has had an extraordinary year in 2024, marked by groundbreaking research, exceptional student accomplishments, and significant advancements in infrastructure and collaborations.
i. A Flourishing Network of Researchers
This year, five members and alumni of LIMM joined affiliated research institutions, including the Center for Innovative Materials & Architectures (VNU-HCM) and the Laboratory of Advanced Materials (University of Science, VNU-HCM). This milestone highlights LIMM’s commitment to nurturing talent in techniques, nanomaterials, and thin-film technology.
ii. Global Opportunities for Students
Three LIMM students secured prestigious internships and exchange programs in Switzerland, Japan, and Taiwan, while another three members of the VinIF Project participated in exchanges at NEC, HUS, and LIMM. These international opportunities underscore LIMM’s reputation for producing globally competitive researchers.
iii. Education Achievements
Two master’s students from the K22/2022 cohort successfully defended their theses on Memristor and Hybrid RRAM topics. These contributions were supported by projects funded by Vingroup and NAFOSTED, showcasing the lab’s role in bridging education and high-impact research.
iv. Engagement in Renowned Conferences
LIMM actively participated in four prestigious workshops and conferences, including ISAMA 2024 (Quang Binh), IWAMSN 2024 (Da Nang), ICPA 13 (Hanoi), and ICAMM’24 (Ho Chi Minh City). These events provided platforms to showcase LIMM’s innovations and foster academic collaborations.
v. Upgraded Facilities and Industry Support
The lab received sponsorship from Pyramid Corp., enabling the acquisition of FX-4 equipment. Additionally, LIMM added state-of-the-art semiconductor analyzers, probe stations, and workstations to its arsenal, further enhancing its research capabilities.
vi. Research Highlights
LIMM’s research achievements in 2024 include:
Looking Ahead
As 2024 ends, LIMM celebrates a year of remarkable milestones and looks forward to continuing its mission of pioneering innovative research in memristors and advanced materials. The lab remains dedicated to empowering future scientists and making impactful contributions to science and industry.
