Recently, master student Tran Thuy Anh attended the 13th Vietnam Summer School of Science (VSSS’13), held at the International Centre for Interdisciplinary Science and Education (ICISE) in Quy Nhon, Gia Lai, Vietnam.
With the theme “Rethinking Science”, VSSS’13 was not only an academic program but also a platform for young scientists to reflect on the scientific journey over the years, broaden their perspectives, and explore new approaches to science. The program brought together undergraduate students, graduate students, and young researchers, providing opportunities to learn from one another, exchange knowledge, and connect with the scientific community in Vietnam and around the world.
During her time at VSSS’13, master student Tran Thuy Anh had the opportunity to explore different scientific perspectives and interdisciplinary topics, while also meeting and exchanging ideas with students and young scientists from various fields. The spirit of “Rethinking Science” was reflected not only in the lectures and academic discussions, but also in the encouragement for participants to think critically, ask questions, and look at scientific issues from new perspectives.
Thuy Anh said that VSSS’13 was also a valuable opportunity to expand her academic network, connect with other participants, share research ideas and directions, and, most importantly, develop new ways of thinking about science and research. She added that the experience at VSSS’13 would provide valuable inspiration for her future research and support her continued academic and professional development.
