Group Meeting with Prof. Yoshimura (Surface Science Lab, TTi) & Establishment of SSL–LIMM Collaboration

In this new semester, we are pleased to welcome an international student from the Toyota Technological Institute (TTI), Nagoya, Japan, who will join our laboratory as a two-month research intern.

During this time, Professor Masamichi Yoshimura, Head of the Surface Science Laboratory (SSL) at TTI, visited our lab to participate in a group meeting. The main participants included:

• Prof. Tran Thi Thanh Van - Dean of the Faculty of Material Science and Technology (guest)
• Dr. Tong Hoang Tuan, PhD Student. Pham Phu Quan, MSc. Student Duong Ngoc Bao Trung, and MSc. Student Le Phi Truong – Lab members
• MSc. Student Ryuto Ogoshi – Intern from SSL, TTI
• Additional guest students from our lab and SSL 

In this meeting, we officially initiated a lab-to-lab collaboration between SSL and our laboratory, focusing on the following main research topics:

1. Developing large-area monolayers of 2D materials (including Graphene Oxide, WS₂, and WSe₂) for integration into memristor chips with at least an 8-bit array.
2. Controlling defects in 2D material monolayers to tune the resistive switching behavior of memristors.
3. Applying advanced characterization techniques such as XPS and STM to obtain experimental evidence for proposing the resistive switching mechanism in 2D materials.
