PROJECTS | |
Apr. 2024 – Present | HO CHI MINH UNIVERSITY OF SCIENCE – Synthesis Thin Films and Nanomaterial Laboratory (Faculty of MST) Researcher – Supervisor: Dr. Nguyen Quang Collect and prepare a computer vision test dataset (e.g., MNIST) by performing pre-processing tasks such as cropping, resizing, and discretizing intensity values to match the requirements of the memristor array. Develop an Artificial Neural Networks (ANN) architecture where the weights are represented by the resistance values of a designed memristor. Conduct simulations of the ANN on a PC, evaluating the model’s prediction accuracy. Estimate prediction errors considering the memristor device's error tolerance and potential device failure rates. Design and construct a support PCB that includes ADCs, DACs, amplifiers, and a microcontroller, all of which are connected to the PC for integration with the ANN system. |
Feb – May. 2023 | INTERNATIONAL UNIVERSITY – VNUHCM Student - Supervisor: Dr. Wookyoung Lee Understand the COSMIC-2 satellite, the parameters of its profiles, and its technique involving GNSS and LEO satellites to derive atmospheric information. Download the global data daily in 2020 and 2021 that had approximately 4000 profiles per day. Extract the maximum values of electron density, height, position and local time in each profile and arrange them at specific times and seasons. Plot the global maps by local time and season for both types of data – maximum electron density and its height - by averaging values in each pixel of 5 degrees of latitude and 10 degrees of longitude. Report the phenomena on the maps. |
Jul. – Aug. 2022 | KOREA ASTRONOMY AND SPACE SCIENCE INSTITUTE Student - Supervisor: Dr. Wookyoung Lee, Dr. Kyoung-Min Roh, and Dr. Byung-Kyu Choi Practice with polarX5 Septentrio, a GNSS receiver. Receive nearly 31 GPS data with an updated message every 2 hours by polarX5 Septentrio. After receiver’s processing, it outputted the pseudo-ranges and other data of 31 GPS with an updated data per 30 seconds. Calculate GPS’s orbits by the data from GPS and the mathematical model from the website of Official U.S. government information about the Global Positioning System (GPS). Compare the calculated results and the accurate ones from ground stations. Calculate receiver position by the orbits and the pseudo-ranges applying basic method. |
